Oil Paintings by Arantzazu Martinez

These oil paintings by Arantzazu Martinez are supremely executed and they deeply inspire me. Her work with the human form, light, texture, and storytelling is that of excellence by a highly talented and skilled professional artist. I encourage you to check out her website here and make sure to take a close look at the details within the paintings.

"Arantzazu Martinez is an academic painter from Vitoria, Spain. She attended the Fine Arts University of the Basque Country and graduated in 2000. Then she enrolled in the New York Academy of Figurative Art (NYAA) MFA program and graduated in 2002. Afterwards she worked with Jacob Collins to develop her training still further from 2002 to 2005.
Her work has the ability to recreate a dream world where magic and fantasy are part of reality."

"Martinez has been recognized internationally. She has been commissioned by Lucasfilm Ltd. to take part in an international project on Star Wars Visions and more recently on a new image project for Disney in which she is presently immersed."

I think it's important to applaud excellence in the artistic community and I hope to see more of her work in the future. I can only imagine how many hours it took to finish each painting.

What type of art inspires you? Have you ever seen artwork that moved you to create something?

I hope all of you have a fun and truly inspirational weekend!
